Robert M. Franklin Kappa Boulé

Archon Robert M. Franklin (Kappa Boulé), Professor of Social Ethics at Emory University's Candler School of Theology, released a new book, "Crisis in the Village: Restoring Hope in African American Communities" (Fortress Press, $15). He challenges key institutions in black communities to turn Bill Cosby's charge on its head. In this new book, he states that "We're losing a significant portion of our future, why aren't we losing sleep over this?" He states that what motivated him to write the book was his impatience with what he takes to be a lack of urgent and creative response to the crises facing black children.
