Archon Daniels Becomes Chairman of National Law Firm

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Archon John W. Daniels, of Beta Alpha, has been elected chairman of Quarles & Brady, one of the nation's leading corporate law firms. Daniels who had been a member of senior management of the firm for over a decade, took the helm of the corporate law firm which has offices and affiliates in Chicago, Illinois, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Phoenix, Arizona, Washington, D.C., and Naples, Florida among other locations.

Daniels’ focus as chairman of Quarles & Brady is to continue to develop the most effective ways to serve the firm's corporate clients, both domestically and internationally. He stated, "At the firm, we view ourselves as business advisors to our clients and our goal is to aggressively find the best and most practical solutions for our clients."

The 460-lawyer enterprise recently received a prestigious award from Yale Law School survey participants as the number one law firm in the country in terms of workplace satisfaction. The firm regularly represents Fortune 500 companies and in recent law firm surveys had the highest percentage of "Best Lawyers in America".

Daniels, a Harvard law school graduate and former sire archon of Beta Alpha, is no stranger to national leadership positions in the bar. He served as National President of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and National Secretary of the American Bar Association Real Property lawyers.

He regularly represents major corporate and financial entities in real estate and other business transactions and he is on the board of several corporate entities, including one of the nation’s 50 largest bank holding companies, M&I Marshall & Ilsley Corporation. In addition, he is chairman of V&J Holdings, Inc., one the largest African-American companies in the United States.

Daniels has received numerous awards for his professional and civic activities. The largest Boys & Girls Club in Wisconsin has been named in his honor because of his commitment to supporting youth activities. He founded and chairs the Fellowship Open golf tournament which is the largest charitable golf event of its type in Wisconsin, the beneficiaries of which are urban youth organizations having the capacity to positively make change.

He resides in Milwaukee with his wife, Irma and their two children, John III and Inez.
